President
Ken Hamid is a leader in the concrete repair, protection, and specialty coatings industry, with over 40 years of experience in Ontario. His career began in 1984 with setting up manufacturing processes of self-leveling cement and grouts under the ULTRATEX brand. He contributed to major projects like Scotia Plaza in 1988, establishing his expertise. In 1989, Ken began researching and developing fiber technology for concrete, leading to a breakthrough in 1994 by replacing up to 15% of cement with Rice Husk Ash (Pozzolon), showcasing his commitment to sustainability.
Throughout the 2000s, Ken advanced fiber reinforcement research of glass, polypropylene, and basalt fibers in concrete. In 2010, Ken introduced groundbreaking products that revolutionized installation methods. His innovations have always embraced cutting-edge technologies, employing advanced materials and processes to meet the unique demands of each project, and using custom-tailored materials.
